It is with great joy and pleasure that we offer Margaret Lynch of Walkinstown the warmest of happy birthdays. Margaret celebrated her centenarian birthday on Saturday, and while current circumstances meant celebrations couldn’t be held as normal, it did not stop friends and family turning up throughout the day to wish her the best from afar.
Margaret is our longest serving volunteer, having spent the last fifty-four years volunteering at her local day centre where she continues to volunteer two days of her time, weekly.
In fact, Margaret’s fifty-four years of volunteering makes her the longest serving volunteer in the country. This is an incredible feat and has not gone unnoticed, with the national media paying tribute to her amazing accomplishment.
We hope Margaret enjoyed her weekend in the company of family and friends and wish her well in the years to come.
