Here one of the participants shares her experience of a seminar which was held at the Centre on 5th of March 2016 entitled: “Making Use Of Your Talents And Be More Creative”.
Many will ask why this title why not something else – here is a life story to explain.
A young looking handsome man, intelligent young looking man has these numerous unknown talent, unknown to his parents but known to God. Do you know what happened? He was given an opportunity, he explored and explored until one day he looked at himself at the mirror and said, “Behold these talents are in me, I never discovered it until now.
The seminar started at about 9am, and was facilitated by Sr. Sylvia Uwalaka RSC. She referred us back to the scripture Matt 25:14,30. (The Ten Talents). She reminded us that God has given each of us a wonderful talent/gift. Talents are gifts that each and every one of us has received from God to utilise and use it for the benefits to our family, friend and society.
The seminar was divided into four segments
1) BENEFITS OF DEVELOPING OUR TALENTS
2) QUALITIES WE NEED TO DEVELOP OUR TALENTS.
3) REASONS FOR FAILURE TO DEVELOP OUR TALENTS
4) WAYS TO DEVELOP OUR TALENTS
The seminar was interactive between the instructor and students. The seminar came to an end with vote of thanks by Sr. Monye Ngozi the Coordinator of the Centre at about 2pm and afterward a group photograph was taken with the 72 students and staff.
