30th August 2014 was a very remarkable day in the Nigerian Region as families, friends and our sisters gathered at St. Michael, Raphael and Gabriel’s Catholic Church Satellite Town to celebrate and rejoice with our two sisters, Rachael Jikavworu and Irene Ugwoegbu as they make their Final Profession of Vows in our Congregation.
It was a very solemn and colourful celebration which began with the Mass and was officiated by the Bishop of Minna Diocese, the Most Rev. Dr Martin Uzoukwu. The homilist, Rev. Fr. Ehis Omoragbon, S.J thanked Srs. Rachael and Irene for saying ‘Yes’ and making the day possible. He also reminded them of the vows which they are professing and encouraged them to remain faithful to their commitment both in difficult and good times and to be a witness to Christ’s love in these changing times.
There were some entertainments during the reception after the Mass with some refreshment. We thank God for our two sisters and pray that God who has called them to his service will continue to strengthen them in their various ministries and enable them to be true witnesses of love.
