During their October, 2010 meeting, members of the LCWR Global Concerns Committee (GCC) identified three suggestions for members, congregations and regions as they begin to implement the 2010 Assembly Resolution: The Leadership Conference of Women Religious will actively seek to strengthen bonds with women religious throughout the world.
The three suggestions religious communities are invited to participate in are:
- Read messages of support from around the world, regarding the Vatican’s Apostolic Visitation of US Women Religious, which can be found on the LCWR website – CLICK HERE
- Document stories that are shared in congregations and regions.
- Pray this prayer offered by the GCC:
“God of all creation, awaken us to the reality of our connection with all that is. Open our eyes to see how we are all connected as women religious throughout the world. Open our ears to hear the stories of our sisters beyond our borders. Open our hearts to the deeper invitation to which these stories call us in our daily lives so that we may grow in global solidarity with all women religious.”
