On Sunday August 5, Sr. Eucharia Ryan RSC was invited to be part of a Liturgy honoring 3 senior sisters for their years of service. For years Eucharia taught elementary and secondary school as well as ministering in a parish.
Presently Eucharia lives at the Pampuri residence run by the St. John Of God Community in Los Angeles. Sisters Kathleen Newell, Francis Maria Monsimer and Kathleen Bryant joined Eucharia for the Sunday Liturgy in which her 56 years of religious life was acknowledged and honored. The celebration continued over lunch. To the surprise of the sisters a clown visited the tables in the restaurant and created cartoon characters out of balloons. The sisters drew “Smiley” the clown into a conversation and she shared how it took her two months of study to create these balloon characters. Eucharia requested a Mickey Mouse creation!
