Our Bi-centenary got off to a wonderful start on Monday 19th January 2015 when we launched the celebrations with a Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ringsend, Dublin.
The RSCs were given a warm welcome from Fr Ivan Tonge and the people of the parish. It was fitting to launch this special year in a place that was so close to the heart of our Foundress Mary Aikenhead. Sisters from around the globe joined in the celebrations – immediately after Mass messages began arriving from various parts of Ireland, England, Scotland, Zambia, California, Nigeria and Australia to say how much sisters and their friends enjoyed being with us through the parish webcam. After Mass everyone walked the short distance to the Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre where the management and staff of provided a wonderful buffet and great hospitality.
