Sr Brid O’Shea with a group of supporters from St. Columban School in Garden Grove in California got up early in the morning recently to do a five mile Walk out on Poverty.
Together they raised more than eleven thousand dollars to help women and children who are marginalized and who are living in dire poverty.
Sister has been doing this for over twenty years and the numbers of volunteers increase and multiply each year.
It is wonderful to see so many youth today who step up to the plate when it comes to helping the most vulnerable in our midst and who keep our charism alive in this little corner of the universe.
