It was exciting to meet during the closing of a year celebrating the 150th anniversary of the death of Mary Aikenhead. This international team was appointed by the General Leadership Team at our Kasisi meeting in Zambia, January 2009 as a result of our Chapter Mandate 2007. Conscious of our rich heritage and the passionate desire to transmit the spirit of Mary Aikenhead, we further developed the Kasisi document with the help of our facilitators: Brenda Dolphin RSM and Anne Doyle RSM. Our specific task was to develop programs for women at every stage of formation for our Congregation. This is a work in progress and we have committed ourselves to the development of a formation program that reflects an adult model with respect for the diversity of cultures of our congregation according to the times, places and circumstances. The team will continue to work together over the next few years using email, Skype and web conferencing and we’ll keep in touch with all of you here on the website. We will meet face to face annually.
