The launch of the Pope John Paul II Award in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore, took place recently in the Holy Cross Church, Tramore, Co Waterford. Sister of Charity, Sr Marie Carroll attended the ceremony. Prior to attending the Award Ceremony, his Excellency the Most Reverend Charles Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, visited Ardscoil na Mara.
His Excellency spent some time touring the classrooms and met with staff. In the Meditation Room, His Excellency was presented with a beautiful picture of the Parish Church which was created by Aoife O’Mahony – a Sixth Year student.
