Maamba Youth Project 2025 Graduation Ceremony

Maamba Youth Project is a skills training institution based in Maamba—Southern Province, Zambia. It is an institution for the Catholic Diocese of Monze but managed by the Religious Sisters of Charity. Maamba Youth Project is registered under the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) and offers training to youth (and women).

Training programmes include: Food Production, Computer Studies, Fashion Design and Textile Technology.

Our students train for Trade test levels 1, 2, and 3.

On the 19th of December 2025, students were clad in their graduation attire, and parents could not hide their smiles as they assembled for Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Maamba to thank God for their journey thus far. After the Mass, students in a colourful procession danced into the graduation hall for the second part of the celebration.

The students presented a skit that discouraged early marriage and promoted education and skills. There was a poem and fashion parade by the Fashion Design students, showcasing their outfits—the work of their hands. Models were awarded as well as other outstanding students.

The celebration ended with good news from one of our Board members, Mr Albert Hamayuwa, who offered a job to Babyanca Sekutula, one of our graduating Computer students, as a secretary in one of his companies.
