My name is Sr Euckeria Mainza, from Zambia/Malawi region. A student at Zambia Catholic University. I just want to share about my experience at the school. During the first year of my studies, the first few weeks it was difficult to adapt in the new environment. What I found to be not life giving was how the lay students isolated themselves when it comes to church programs within the campus. Later, I encouraged some students to participate actively especially during Mass and not to leave everything for the sisters and brothers. I am delighted to tell you that I was able to convert a non-Catholic student to join the catholic family and some students started participating actively. The school also organize recollection days where I pray together with religious men and women. Through prayers I feel uplifted especially when we have Mass and recollection days. We the religious women and men are united and through our lives we were able to teach non-Catholics by our oneness despite coming from different Congregations. Finding God in all things even in singing as they say the one who sings prays twice.
The attached photos were taken after our retreat.
