On Saturday February 23rd forty of Sr Monica Byrnes nieces and nephews with their husbands, wives and a few children, gathered for a visit to the Heritage Centre. This visit was well planned beforehand by Sr Mary Roche so it all went smoothly. The excitement among the group was very tangible as some would not have met for a long time.
The chat and laughter was great to hear and wonderful to experience. Having had lunch together in the Restaurant the tour of the Centre began. The big group was divided into three, led by Sisters Helen Butler, Mary Roche and Monica Byrne. After the tour they all relaxed together with refreshments prepared by Sisters Marie Eucharia and Agnes Rose. Each one was greatly moved by their experience, very touched by the life of Mary Aikenhead and grateful for the opportunity to visit the Centre.
