In August 2014, Glasgow welcomed the 20th Commonwealth Games. As part of the ceremony, the Queens Baton Relay team crossed the 70 Nations and Territories taking part in the Games covering 190,000 km in 288 days. From 14 June to 23 July 2014 the Baton was in Scotland and during the Baton’s tour of West Dunbartonshire, our hospice, St Margaret of Scotland, was delighted to welcome the Queen’s Baton on Friday 18 July 2014.
