On Saturday, 22 July more than 150 Sisters of Charity and Friends of Mary Aikenhead gathered in Donnybrook to mark the 159th anniversary of Mary Aikenhead’s death. Mass was celebrated in the Mary Aikenhead Day Centre with Monsignor Lorcan O’Brien as the chief celebrant.
After Mass, as many as were able, walked up to Mary Aikenhead’s grave for a short prayer service, before returning to the Day Centre for afternoon tea and a great catch-up!!
