The following are examples of the social and pastoral work undertaken by individual sisters:
England and Scotland
Parish ministry
A very important part of the role of the parish visitor is assisting the housebound and the elderly.
Prison ministry
Prison chaplaincy is about helping people regain a sense of their dignity and self worth.
Women in prostitution
We are involved with an organisation which offers a range of support to women who are in prostitution.
Human Trafficking
Our province has been involved with the provision of safe housing for victims of trafficking.
Chaplaincy
Chaplains provide spiritual, pastoral and religious care in hospitals and hospices.
Asylum seekers
One of the most important aspects of this ministry is to listen to people’s stories with empathy.
People with addictions
Several of our sisters engage with people with drug or alcohol addiction through various ministries.
The homeless
Our province supports organisations which engage with people who are homeless.
Care for the Earth
Our Congregation has identified the Care for the Earth as a priority.
